About: Back of the Class
The "Back of the Class" videos were born from the requests of various Photographers and Retouchers that wanted to know how we did certain things or how we got certain looks in our images.
Initially we started out by shooting short 30 sec clips with a Point-and-Shoot camera just to be able to give people ideas. Then we started shooting 4 and 5 minute clips specifically explaining our concepts, ideas and working practices. It soon became apparent that we needed better videographers (It's difficult to shoot video and photography at the same time!) and we also starting presenting workshops on request.
At some of these workshops, we started recording sections of the workshops on video as reference material for the attendees, and these became the "Back of the Class" Workshop Videos.
ABOUT: The Authors
Sean and Luba Nel are professional stock photographers. That means their work needs to be of the highest quality and most "shortcuts" promoted in magazines and websites will never be used by them.
Instead they get down to the nitty gritty of creating high quality imaging, starting with the photographs, straight through to the final retouching.
